The Science

Scientific research papers provide the sound empirical evidence on the impact of Indian Mynas on Australiau2019s wildlife and their potential risk to human and animal health. They have substantiated much of the lived experience and assumed knowledge of the general public regarding the behaviour of Indian Mynas and the harm they do.

Research by Chris Tidemann, Kate Grarock (both of ANU), Andrea Griffin and her students (Newcastle University), Nicholas Clark (Griffith University) and John Yinn (Sydney University) have helped underpin the submission to the ACT Government leading to the formal Declaration of Indian Mynas as Pest Animals.
